St Martin's Christian youth movement - running for over 25 years!
St Martin's is proud to have a Church Lad's and Church Girl's Brigade company. Running for over 25 years, we have shared with many children and young people the love of Jesus Christ. All members of the Brigade attend church on a Sunday morning and on a Friday night for the Brigade evening.
The Brigade is split into 4 sections - The Martin's (for 5-7 year olds), The Y-Team (for 7-10 year olds), The JTC (for 10-13 year olds) and The Senior Corps (13-21 year olds) We are also part of the Lichfield Battalion and join with other Brigade's from the area several times a year to take part in activities such as quizzes, sports events, treasure hunts, games days and much more.
Every term we also hold social events for the YTeam, JTC and Senior Corps - these can range from sleepovers, to console evenings to going out to places such as Laser Tag.
Over the past few years, St Martin's Brigade has shifted away from the traditional scheme of badge work and focused on a more activity and theme based evening.
If you want to be part of the Brigade all we ask is that you show commitment. We meet every Friday evening as well as at our Sunday morning church services. All members of the Brigade pay subscriptions (subs) this enables us to provide the materials needed for Brigade evening and help fund social events. The current prices for subs are: The Martins: 60p; The YTeam: 70p; The JTC: 90p; The Senior Corps; £1.10
