Our holiday clubs open to all children in Bradley, run twice a year
Starting in 2010, St Martin's has run it's own holiday clubs. We have run two this year, one at Easter for just one day and one for 3 days in the Summer holidays.
We try to base the holiday clubs around a theme and we plan plenty of craft activities and games based on the theme. We also introduced an optional cooked meal for the summer holiday club.
As we are a Church run holiday club, we also have a short 10minute "God-Spot" during the sessions, where we introduce the children to Jesus and the good things he did for us.
Our summer holiday club was a fantastic, huge success with over 140 children attending over the three days. The focus was pirates and the children enjoyed watching The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything, a Veggitales DVD. They made a range of pirate crafts and played silly pirate games. We all had a lovely time and appreciated all the support from church members. Feedback from parents was really positive and more Holiday Clubs were requested!
The next holiday club is scheduled to take place in Easter 2012, so check back later for more information and application forms - remember, we only have a limited number of places so booking is essential and is on a first come, first served basis.
