Worship

Our worship is varied and informal using the Book of Common Worship. We use a mixture of music including organ, keyboard, guitar as well as full music group. The music group consists of drums, keyboard, guitar, bass guitar and trumpet. On occasions we use worship Cd's which are played through our sound system. Our main services are projected onto screens and we have a sound loop for those who are hard of hearing. The hymns used are both traditional and modern.

Please see below for infomation on our service patterns.

1st and 3rd Sunday am services - Good News Service at St Martin's - 10:15am

This is a lively Gospel Service. The service includes songs and hymns, music led by our music group. We use the data projectors for all the words we say together and the songs (print version available for the visually impaired).
The service normally lasts about an hour and followed by an opportunity to have some tea and coffee at the end of the service, when a Baptism is included in the service this will make the service slightly longer.

Baptism

We want to help you to think about and then arrange this significant event. St Martin's holds its baptism services during our main Sunday morning services on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. If you would like to consider baptism, then please get in contact with us to start making arrangements. We expect everyone coming to Baptism to attend Church before we start to make any arrangements - the date for any Baptism can only be confirmed after the preparation course has started so it may not be possible for us to arrange a Baptism on a particular Sunday for you.

Funerals

The funeral service is an occasion to express our faith and our feelings as we say farewell, to acknowledge our loss and our sorrow, and to reflect on our own mortality. St. Martin’s offers funeral services as a way of providing support and consolation to those who mourn. We also offer bereavement ministry for those who wish so.

Weddings

St. Martin’s offers more than just a venue for a wedding; it offers practical care and concern for the whole of your married life together. And there are many options you can chose within a Church wedding to make the start of your married life a very special day. If you chose a civil wedding the Church, in some circumstances, offers a service of blessing.
