Athletes exercise and practice all the time, keeping up the training whatever the weather so that they can run the race well.
If people training for sports can keep on going despite setbacks to win a race, how much more incentive do we have to finish the course in front of us to reach our goal in heaven.

Keeping on keeping on is not the most catchy of watchwords but it fits us as Christians.  Jesus calls us to take up our cross and follow Him, all the time. 

We need all the help we can get to live the Christian life, which is why the gift of the Holy Spirit is given to us. Ask for His encouragement and strength today.
